CARLISLE, Pa. – Albright men's golf turned in a strong two days opening their season at the Dickinson Invitational. The field featured top teams in the region including the Lions. The "A" side for Albright shot a 295 tying the sixth lowest round on day two and the "B" team shot a 311 to finish ahead of multiple other teams "A" teams. Four of the Lions 10 golfers finished better than half the 108 golfers in the field.
FULL TOURNAMENT RESULTS
The Lions "A" team fired one of their lowest teams scores in the past couple of years on day two of the Dickinson Invitational. The Lions team score of 295 is the best since the team shot a 292 at last year's Farmingdale State Invitational.
Albrights "A" team strong day two score moved the Lions up three spots from there day one standing to finish inside the top 10.
The two-day total of 598 placed the Lions "A" team in eighth place out of 21 teams. The "B" team fared very well over the two days ending their tournament with a day two score of 311 and a tournament score of 617. The score finished ahead of Washington College, Lebanon Valley, Lycoming and Wilson's "A" teams.
Coach Lamm is happy to see the team playing well in their first 36 holes of the season, "Both teams played very well over the past two days. I am excited to see this team grow and develop as the fall season continues."
Charles Bailey and
Federico Cobos Kallman were each at the top of their game during round two of the Dickinson Invitational. The duo is as consistent as they come and today was no different both shooting a 71. The strong day two round placed Bailey in T11th place overall and Cobos Kallaman in T21 place.
Nontaphat Veeratecha,
Ashton McKechan and
Jonatan Liljeblad all fired rounds of 76 this afternoon. The trio combined to shave six strokes off their rounds from yesterday.
Jason DiRita and
Filip Hjerten ended their first collegiate tournament with a rounds of 77 and 79, respectively.
Sam Elsen and
Fredrik Alhanko each shot an 80 today while
Connor Fields was just one stroke behind them with an 81. Fields managed to shave off five strokes from his day one score on day two.
The Lions played great tournament golf as a team at the Dickinson Invitational recognizing each and every stroke counts.
