READING, Pa. – Football will make both their road and conference debut this Saturday against the Devils of FDU-Florham while looking to carry their momentum from their dominant victory over Gallaudet. Last season the Lions bested the Devils 32-18 at Shirk Stadium to kickstart homecoming weekend.

ABOUT ALBRIGHT
Last week's 44-point offensive explosion was the most points the Lions have scored in a single game since the 2016 season. Domination on both ends of the ball resulted in a 37-point margin of victory which is also the largest since the same season.
The
Danny Collins led offense picked up where they left off last season and recorded over 200 yards in both the air and on the ground. The Lions averaged 8.6 yards per play which included domination at the line of scrimmage. Coach
Joseph Detorie IV's offensive line unit surrendered zero sacks and paved the way for four rushing touchdowns from as many players.
Kadan Smith and
Shayde Shultz each recorded over 100 yards from scrimmage along with touchdowns making early impressions as vital components of the team's offensive identity.
Mark Fetterman's defense turned in a masterclass holding Gallaudet to just 217 yards of total offense on 3.7 yards per play.
Jaylan Atkinson found himself involved in just about every way possible and registered a team high eight tackles including 2.5 for a loss and was one of six Lions in the backfield for a sack.
Juan DeJesus made an immediate impact after appearing in just one game last season with six total tackles along with a pair of pass breakups.

FDU-Florham is led by Head Coach Anthony Van Curen who has been serving as the program's sixth head coach in program history since the 2022 season. The Devils are coming off a 38-8 loss against St. John Fisher and will be making their home debut on Saturday.
The Devils played two quarterbacks against the Cardinals in which Nazir Smith and Jake Sconza combined for 28 completions on 43 attempts for 205 yards and a touchdown. Smith finished second with 18 rushing yards behind running back Nahjee Adams who finished with 37 of his own. Brian Dunleavy and Jarelle Taylor served as focal points of FDU's passing attack and combined for nine catches for 90 yards.
St. John Fisher's offense put up 430 total yards of offense against the Devils which included 320 in the air. An impact player to watch on FDU's defense will be Junior defensive lineman JC Henriquez. Henriquez put up five total tackles including the team's lone sack. Defensive backs Christopher Babcock and Adrian Palacios each broke up a pair of passes.
