CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Volleyball (0-2) played their second game of the week with both coming on the road squaring off against Washington College (Md.) (2-0) on Thursday evening. Washington College was able to protect home court winning 3-1 over Albright.
Washington College won the first set before Albright battled back to even the match at 1-1 through two sets. From there the hosts took the next two sets to win the match over the Lions.
Neve Straff led the way with a season high 11 kills. Straff did a little bit of everything, adding five block assists and nine digs to her overall stat line. Her kill total tonight pushed Straff to 651 career kills.
Lily Donovan followed with eight kills of her own while adding six digs.
Paige Lipp has enjoyed a nice start to the season tallying 28 more assists tonight and added eight digs in a strong effort.
Samantha Lipp was strong in the serving game, having five service aces which was good for a match high.
Isabella Garay was a constant force defensively having a team high 18 digs.

Albright will play their third straight game on the road to start the season travelling to Penn State Brandywine on Tuesday, September 8. The match is set for a 7:00 p.m. start time. Later in the week the Lions will be ecstatic to play in front of their home fans for the first time this season On Thursday September 10 against Drew.
