READING, Pa. – Volleyball (0-3) played the last of three straight road games against the Nittany Lions of Penn State Brandywine. Following three sets, the Nittany Lions would end up taking the match against Albright.
The closest set between the two squads was the opening set which came down to the wire in by a score of 25-22.
Jayla Malone led all Lions with seven points including registering a pair of digs in an all-around solid two-way performance. The First-Year player has wasted no time getting involved and currently sits at 10 points through a pair of appearances on the season.
Finishing close behind Malone with 6.5 points of her own was
Neve Straff which included four kills, a pair of service aces and an assist. Straff has been averaging 10 points a contest this season and sits at 845 for her career total.
Alexis Akwara made her presence known on the defensive side of the net and teamed up with Straff for an assisted block while also picking up four kills.
Paige Lipp continues to be the premier setter for the Lions and finished with another 25 assists to lead the team.
