READING, Pa. - Looking to be the spoiler and knock the Pride of Widener University (6-8-3/3-3-1 Commonwealth) out of this year's Commonwealth Conference tournament, the Lions (6-11-2/1-6 Commonwealth) hosted their final regular season match in Shirk Stadium Saturday evening. Unfortunately the red and white were unable to achieve their season ending goal, as the Pride managed a 1-0 conference victory.
In what should have been a 1-1 game in the later part of the second half was called back by a very late an inaccurate call by the sideline official. For a majority of Saturday's match the Pride maintained their 1-0 lead. Albright did manage to produce some opportunities of their own, but were unable to sneak any by Widener goalkeepers Hamed Correa and Marty Squicciarini. Hamed led the match with four saves to pick up the victory.

David Folino#. Netting the lone Widener goal was Justin Hovaker his third of the year. Assisting on the game winning goal was DJ DiPaola who played a short pass to the near post for Hovaker. Hovaker then flicked it to the back post with the inside of his foot to give Widener the one goal lead.
In the shots column both teams produced eight chances in Saturday's hard fought match. Albright led the match in corner kick opportunities with seven while holding Widener to jus three. The Lion goal that was called back was off a corner kick on a perfectly placed ball by DeSanto.
Saturday's contest marked the close to the 2009 season for the Lions. Playing in their final match of their careers in Shirk Stadium was Mignogna and
Brad Mease, who were both honored by their teammates prior to the start of the contest.
