READING, Pa. - With a 35 yard free kick goal by
Mark Yost the Lions (8-4-0/1-1 Commonwealth) thought they had Elizabethtown's number, but it was the Blue Jays (7-1-2/2-0 CC) that had the final say as they scored a goal in each half to defeat the red and white by the final score of 2-1 Saturday evening at Shirk Stadium.
No stranger when it comes to taking long-range chances, Yost drove home a beautiful free kick to give Albright a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute. Saturday's goal topped his
25 yard blast that he recorded in the 2-1 win over Rosemont College.
Not to be outdone, the Blue Jays used a long range shot to tie the game at 1-1 as Adam Liddle drove home a one time shot from about 20 yards out with less than four minutes to play in the first half. Tony Pacella then gave Elizabethtown the win in the 57th minute after putting away a rebound.
The Lions tried to battle back throughout the final 45 minutes to tie the game at 2-2, but no matter what they did Elizabethtown and sometimes the officials had answer. With just seconds left in regulation, and the Lions pressing

In the confusion, the ball managed to slip through, and with one final clear the Blue Jays recorded their second conference win of the season.
