Gibrilla Conde#, Albright men's soccer (8-3) picked up their third straight win as they defeated Gettysburg College (2-7-1) by the final score of 2-1 Tuesday evening at Clark Field.
Netting the game-winner was Conde in the 60th minute that got behind the Bullets defense and was able to drive the ball past the goalkeeper for the win. Folino got Albright on the scoreboard with help from Conde. In just the fifth minute of the match, Conde redirected a corner into the Bullets' goal box. Folino was then able to pick-up the loose ball and drive it home.
Helping to preserve the Lions 2-1 win was goalkeeper #
Billy Howard#, who totaled four saves in the match. Albright's defense held Gettysburg to just five shots on goal in the 90 minute match.
Gettysburg's lone score of the evening came in the 19th minute when Peter Lynch drove home a free-kick to the far post. Despite giving up the tying goal, the red and white continued to pressure the Bullets' defense, which eventually paid off midway through the second half.
The Albright corner kick which resulted in the Lions goal would be their only one on the night. Gettysburg totaled five corner kicks throughout the match.
Men's Soccer returns to action on Saturday when they host Elizabethtown College at 8 p.m. in Shirk Stadium.
