10-Man Lycoming Holds Off Albright

Box Score

The Albright College men's soccer team couldn't take advantage of Lycoming red card and a second half penalty kick as they fell 2-1, Saturday at Lycoming.

Down 2-0 in the 79th minute, Lycoming goalkeeper Connor Keenan brought down a Lions attacker in the box. The foul resulted in Keenan being sent off and reserve Nick Bruno playing the hero as he came into the game cold and saved freshman #Vitali Zaluha#'s penalty kick attempt.

Senior Mark Yost did score in the 88th minute, off Tyler Waters' assist, but it was too little, too late for the Lions at that point.

With the game scoreless at halftime, the Warriors jumped ahead through goals by Chris Hale and Matt Snively. Lycoming then held on for the final 11-plus minutes playing a man down.

Albright falls to 6-10, 0-6 and will travel to Wesley on Tuesday.
