Albright Swims Past LVC in Conference Opener

Results

Five different Lions won individual events as the Albright College women's swimming team defeated Lebanon Valley College 107-89 in its 2011-12 MAC opener, Tuesday.

Tricia Janowiak, Amanda Osterlind, Codi Herr and Katy Oeste got Albright off on the right foot by winning the day's opening event, taking the 200 medley relay in 1:56.73.

Oeste (50 free, 26.57) and Janowiak (100 free, 56.95) also took individual freestyle events for the Lions.

Senior Aimee Snyder won the 200 free (2:03.39), and junior Madison Hauk finished first in the 200 IM (2:22.24). Also winning an individual race was freshman Kaitlyn Huizing (100 back, 1:03.70).

Albright is 1-1 and will host Widener on November 5.
