Alex Talbot and sophomore
Mel Sullivan have been named to the 2011 All-Commonwealth Conference women's soccer team. The trio earned second-team honors.
Giualiano earns her third consecutive All-Conference honor in three seasons as Albright's starting goalkeeper. She compiled a record of 6-4-5 with a GAA of 1.59 and 74 saves. She had a save percentage of .763, three shutouts, and was the Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week three times.
Talbot anchored the Lions' midfield, playing in 15 games with 14 starts. She had two assists on the year. Sullivan was the Lions' starting center back, adding three goals and an assist from her defensive position.
Messiah's
Kelsey Gorman and Lebanon Valley's
Nicole Snyder shared Co-Players of the Year honors, while LVC's
Lauren Frankford was the Coach of the Year. Messiah reserve forward
Mackenzie Clapper was the Rookie of the Year.
Albright is 8-4-5 on the season, with three of those four losses coming to nationally-ranked opposition. The Lions will await ECAC selection this afternoon to find out if their season will continue.
