Madison Bailey and sophomore
Marguerite DeLucas have each been named to the 2011 All-Commonwealth Conference field hockey team. Both student-athletes were second team selections.
Bailey, a defender, anchored the Lions' backline and started all 18 games, scoring once. This was her first All-Conference selection.
DeLucas, a goalkeeper, led the league in saves by a wide margin, with 153. She started all 18 games, kept four shutouts and had a save percentage of .769.
Lebanon Valley's
Jocelyn Novak was named Player of the Year after becoming the nation's all-time leading scorer. Messiah's
Becky Ely was Rookie of the Year and Alvernia's
Laura Gingrich was Coach of the Year.
