Bobbie Van Oordt of the Albright field hockey team has been named Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Rookie of the Year and an All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention.

Van Oordt is in her first-year with the team hailing from the Netherlands. Van Oordt started 16 of 17 games this season leading the team in goals (5) and points (11).
The first-year Lions first career goal came in the second game of the season against Arcadia. Van Oordt scored the game winning goal in the teams 3-2 win over Gywnedd Mercy. In the next game, Van Oordt scored twice against King's College in the team's 5-0 win.
The Rookie of the Year honor is the first for an Albright player since 2016 when Kaley Donmoyer earned the award.
Since head coach Catherine Weise took over the program in 2022, she has led at least one player to All-Conference honors in every season. Van Oordt's Rookie of the Year award is the first "Of the Year" award for a coach Co led individual.
