PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – With a combined 20 hits and two solid pitching performances from Kevin O'Neill and Tyler Storms, baseball (6-16/2-7 Commonwealth) recorded their second conference win of the year, with an 11-5 victory over Arcadia University (2-20/1-11 Commonwealth) Thursday afternoon at Erny Field.

With the win, the Lions keep their postseason dreams alive, but have an extremely tough road in front of them with only three series left in the year.

The action got off to a quick start for the red and white as they scored three runs in the top of the first and two in the top of the second. They would then scored six more in through the middle three innings to jump out to 11-4 lead.

O'Neill went the first four innings and allowed four of Arcadia's five runs on six hits. However, when Storms stepped onto the hill, the Knights had no idea how to handle the lefty, as he fanned eight batters, while only allowing one run on one hit. Both pitchers surrendered just two walks each.

At the plate junior Tom Canuso was unstoppable as he went 4-for-6 with four RBI and two runs scored. After him a trio of Lions recorded three hits in the win with Jojo Fischer leading the way with three RBI and one run scored. Justin Danser was also a member of three hit club, and touched home plate a total of four times.

Matt Pannella continued his red-hot ways with his 3-for-6 for afternoon to boost his average to .318 on the season. Nate Peiffer and Jon Raymond each picked-up a pair of hits, while Rob Mancinelli, Shawn Walbert, and Pat Brady each recorded one hit.

Baseball returns to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Lebanon Valley College for a 3:30 p.m. conference game.
