Despite Harkins Hat Trick, Women's Lacrosse Beaten by E'town

Junior Kim Harkins scored a hat trick but the Albright College women's lacrosse team lost 18-5 to visiting Elizabethtown, Saturday at Shirk Stadium.

Freshman Meghan Wilson added two goals and four draw controls, while classmate Nicole Rohrbach also won four draw controls.

An efficient Blue Jays team scored 12 times on 17 shots in the first half. Caitlin Knight, Becky Porter and Katie Scheurich each had hat tricks, while freshman Leigh Anne Flounlacker scored twice and dished out three assists.

Down 8-0 after 20 minutes, Wilson scored twice in under a minute to cut the lead to six. Harkins tallied the Lions' final three goals of the game, and also hit the crossbar in the second half.

Freshman Kiersten Keehn made her debut in goal for Albright, stopping four shots.

Albright falls to 4-9, 0-2 and will travel to Lebanon Valley on Wednesday. Elizabethtown (8-4, 2-1) hosts Alvernia on the same day.
