For the second time in three days, the Albright College baseball team started slow and fell 6-2, this time to host Arcadia on Friday.
Against Ursinus on Wednesday, the Lions went down 6-0 in the first inning. Today, they trailed 5-0 after three and again couldn't dig themselves out of the early hole.
Sophomore
Nate Peiffer was 2-for-4 at the plate and scored once. Freshman
Gabe Santone was 3-for-4, while sophomore
Collin Hecker (1-4) scored and knocked in a run.
Arcadia plated three runs in the top of the first and then tacked on two more in the third.
Junior
Kevin O'Neill stayed in the contest and pitched well the rest of the way, throwing a complete game and ultimately striking out six.
Albright scored twice in the top of the sixth, as Hecker knocked in Peiffer and then came around on
Jon Raymond's RBI-single.
The Lions will host the Knights in a doubleheader tomorrow at noon and will celebrate Senior Day- honoring Raymond,
