Freshman

DeLucas made a fantastic double save on
Lydia Spakowsky from close range in the first overtime to preserve the tie. She also saved
Taylor Prichett on a three-on-one, as the teams were reduced to seven players each for the overtime.
The game was actually 6-on-6 for a few minutes as each team picked up a card, but no one could score. DeLucas made a nice blocker save, before Albright's Allison Dombrowski put a breakaway wide in the final minute of the first overtime.
An aggressive Delaware Valley came out with a strong forecheck and had all the pressure early. The Aggies finally took the lead 16 minutes in, as
Leah Hawthorn redirected
Krystal Mazza's cross high into the left-side netting.
The Lions had a two-minute power play after a DVC green card with 10 minutes remaining in the half, but again couldn't create much offense. Albright had just one shot on goal and no penalty corners for the first 27 minutes of the contest.
Albright started to cause problems late in the first half, earning several corners. With 6:44 left before the break,
Kaitlyn Pietrusewicz re-directed a shot off a corner and the Aggies'
Sara Culver made a tough defensive save, slapping it out of the air with her stick.
Each side had a good look right after halftime, as Hawthorn shot just wide at the near post doorstep, and then
Alyssa Tourdot had a shot kicked away.
The Lions tied it up in the 46
th minute, as Tourdot tallied her 10th goal of the season, off a pass from Smith. DeLucas had to make a nice kick save with six minutes left on
Kelsey Zook, and then blocked the rebound chance as well.
The Lions are now 6-1, and will attempt to follow an excellent run in non-conference with a victory in their first Commonwealth game, Saturday at Arcadia.
