Box Score
Steve Krause scored the first three goals of the game as DeSales defeated the Albright College men's soccer team, 4-2 on Wednesday.
Rookies contributed all of Albright's points, as freshmen
Kiko DeLeon and
Austin Phillips scored, off assists from classmates
Codey Short and
Michael Reid.
Krause got behind the Albright defense on a pair of first half balls less than six minutes apart, finishing both off assists from
Padraic Farrell.
DeLeon headed in Short's corner kick in the second half, and Phillips finished Reid's free kick, as the Lions converted on set pieces.
A pair of ugly second half goals gave the Bulldogs the win, as Krause whipped a ball into the box that found the net, and
Tyler Nolan's throw in bounced in as well.
The Lions are 6-4, and travel to Lebanon Valley on Saturday for their Commonwealth Conference opener.
