Men's Soccer Shut Out in Williamsport

Box Score

The Albright College men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 road decision on Wednesday, losing to Commonwealth Conference foe Lycoming College.

Lycoming scored off Justin Walker's long throw in the 32nd minute. Connor McNiff flicked it to Alfonce Mutuka, who hit a shot off the crossbar and in.

Vitali Zaluha had the first shot of the game, with Lion keeper David Oram following with a stop at the other end on Moises Lazo.

Later in the first half, Lazo's corner kick was headed by McNiff but saved by Oram. Minutes later, McNiff would set up the Warriors' opening goal.

Zaluha opened the second period with another shot, forcing a save from Lycoming goalie Connor Keenan. It was the final shot on goal for either side until the 75th minute.

Oram tipped Nate Smith's shot out for a corner kick, but Smith then got to Ethan Wilston's cross at the back post for a 2-0 lead.

Walker put a header off the post in the 79th minute.

Albright falls to 4-8-2 overall, and 0-3-1 in Commonwealth play. The Lions will host Lebanon Valley on Homecoming Saturday at 8 p.m.
