The Albright College women's lacrosse team concluded its 2013 season with a 22-8 victory, Thursday at Misericordia.
Sophomore
Meghan Wilson scored six goals on eight shots to lead the Lions. Freshmen
Nicole Klusewitz,
Amanda Smith,
Tori Meyer and
Erin Farrell each had hat tricks, with Farrell scoring four times.
Sophomore
Nicole Rohrbach led the team with three draw controls, and freshman defender
Brianna McCormick added three ground balls.
The Lions ended the first half on a 7-2 run to lead 13-6 at the break. Wilson scored twice to sandwich goals from Klusewitz and Smith to make it 10-4.
After
Brooke North and
Catie Viegas tallied for Misericordia, Meyer (two) and Farrell combined for three strikes in the final four minutes of the first half.
The Red and White reach double-digit victories in their second varsity season, finishing with a record of 10-6.
Farrell's 61 goals, 18 assists and 79 points all break last season's marks to set new school records. Smith's 90 draw controls and 20 caused turnovers, and
Emily Hutson's 98 saves also established new marks.
