Men's Lacrosse to Face SUNY Potsdam on Saturday in Scranton

READING, Pa. - The Albright men's lacrosse team will host SUNY Potsdam Saturday (March 7) afternoon in a non-conference match at Marywood University in Scranton, Pa., at 4 p.m.

The game was originally scheduled for Shirk Stadium, but had to be moved due to the snowfall in the Reading area.

The Lions are 1-1 on the season heading into Saturday's match after splitting a pair of road contests to start the season. This will mark the season opener for the Bears.

Albright dropped a 10-6 decision at No.8 SUNY Cortland on Wednesday after opening the season with a 10-5 triumph at Marymount on Feb. 28.

Senior Philip Potter, who leads the Lions with four goals and three assists for seven points, registered four goals and added an assist in the 10-5 victory at Marymount.

The Lions fell behind 4-0 to the Red Dragons and could not cut the deficit to less than three the rest of the game in suffering its first defeat of the season.

Senior Bryan Smith, who is second on the team with three goals through the first two games, scored twice for Albright and Andrew Potter, Derek Stump, Matthew Lomady and James Egleston each added a tally.

T.J. Holston recorded two assists as did Philip Potter for Albright. Holston scored two goals in the opener and is second on the team in scoring with four points on two goals and two assists.

Sophomore Andrew Potter has scored a goal in each game and Ryan Turner scored two goals against Marymount.

Senior Nicholas Pisko, who made the move to goal this season, has been between the pipes in both games and has made 16 saves on the year.
