READING, Pa. –
The Albright football team continued its undefeated start with a 9-7 victory over Widener last Saturday in the 67th Annual Rajah Shrine Pretzel Bowl at Shirk Stadium. With the victory, Albright moved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in conference action. Albright is tied with No. 10 Delaware Valley for first place in the MAC.

Albright is one of 47 of 201 NCAA Division III teams with undefeated records. The Lions will look to go to 5-0 for the second time in the past three seasons. In 2015, Albright started the season 6-0 on its way to a MAC championship and the second round of the NCAA playoffs.

ABOUT KING'S (PA.)
King's College enters Saturday's contest with a 2-2 record and a 1-2 mark in MAC play. King's has played close contests in each of the past two weeks. Last week, Lycoming scored a touchdown in the final minute to defeat the Monarchs, 44-41. Two weeks ago, the Monarchs scored a touchdown with just 25 seconds remaining to seal a 44-39 victory over Lebanon Valley.

HAGANS KICKS WINNER, WINS WEEKLY AWARDS
Freshman Christian Hagans nailed a 29-yard field goal with just three seconds to play to provide the difference in Albright's 9-7 win against Widener. The freshman added eight punts in the game with three fair catches and five landing inside the Pride's 20-yard line. For his efforts, Hagans earned MAC Special Teams Player of the Week, and he was also named the ECAC Division III South Special Teams Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week.

BOEHLER NAMED ALBRIGHT'S PRETZEL BOWL MVP
Linebacker Grant Boehler was named Albright's Pretzel Bowl MVP, finishing with eight tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss and a blocked punt in the victory. Boehler's blocked punt is the second of his career, with the first coming last season.

INTERCEPTION LEADERS
Boehler didn't have an interception in the Pretzel Bowl, but he is still first in the conference with 0.8 interceptions per game. He's joined at the top of the conference leaderboard by Kali Boyce who is second in the MAC with 0.5 interceptions per game. As a team, Albright leads the conference with five interceptions on the season. All five come from Boehler (three) and Boyce (two).

DAWSON FINDS THE END ZONE AGAIN
Running back Chris Dawson scored the lone Albright touchdown in last week's Pretzel Bowl. Dawson's score came midway through the first quarter to give the Lions a 6-0 lead. Dawson finished with 32 yards rushing and added a pair of receptions for 10 yards. Dawson is ranked second in the MAC with four rushing touchdowns.

STRONG OFFENSIVE LINE
The Albright offensive line finally allowed a sack last week against Widener, but the group is still shaping up to be one of the best in the MAC. Albright is first in the conference in sacks allowed, averaging 0.75 sacks per game. The Lions are also ranked first in the MAC in tackles for loss allowed. Albright is allowing just 4.5 tackle for loss per game.
