READING, Pa. –
Shayde Shultz of the Albright football program was named to the D3football Team of the Week while also earning Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Special Teams Player of the Week.
Shultz put together one of the best kickoff return performances in school history this past weekend against Lebanon Valley. The first-year player racked up 231 kick-off return yards on five attempts. The 231 return yards marked the most of anyone in the MAC this season.
Highlighting the big day for Shultz was his 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to tie the game at 35-35. The 99-yard return marked the second longest in program history and the longest since 1998.
With today's accolades, Albright has placed two Lions on the D3football Team of the Week throughout the season.
Arthur Poindexter was named to the team for his 231-yard receiving performance against Widener. It is the most D3football Team of the Week honorees for Albright in a single season since 2017.
