Moratori, Osmun and Parker-Cannon Named Academic All-MAC

NEWTOWN, Pa.Samuel Moratori, Darien Osmun and Jacquez Parker-Cannon were named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Academic All-MAC team. Moratori has been named to the team twice in his career while Osmun and Parker-Cannon appear on the list for the first time.

The Lions placed three on the Academic All-MAC list for the first time since the 2015 season.

The Fall Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2025 fall semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote for the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student athlete must have a fall semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.

Samuel Moratori has earned All-MAC Academic Team honors and All-MAC honors in back-to-back seasons. Moratori played all over the field for the defense having a nose for the football. The senior earned a spot on the All-MAC Second Team in 2025 as a defensive back.

Moratori was named MAC Player of the Week for his seven tackles and 2.5 tackle for loss performance in the teams 38-14 win over Alvernia. At season's end Moratori finished with 73 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception.

Darien Osmun had a dominant season at linebacker for the Lions being named to the All-MAC Second Team. In his junior season Osmun recorded 66 total tackles to set a new career high, 7.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. For good measure Osmun recorded an interception against eventual MAC champion Eastern and was credited with two pass breakups throughout the year.

Jacquez Parker-Cannon set career highs in total tackles, tackles for loss and sacks to be named to the All-MAC Second Team. Parker-Cannon totaled 39 tackles, four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks from his defensive line position.

The defensive lineman's best game came in the season finale against LVC recording seven total tackles and half a sack. Parker-Cannon finished every game with at least two tackles and recorded a tackle for loss in six of 10 games played.
