Â
LAST SEASON'S MATCHUP
Albright has won 11 straight meetings against the Monarchs which was capped by a 34-31 come-from-behind win at Wilkes-Barre last season. The Lions fell behind 24-7 in the first half before cutting the lead down to 24-21 in the third quarter. Albright would then score the final 13 points of the game in the fourth quarter with a 32-yard field goal from senior kicker
Kevin Goetz being the game-winner with 58 seconds left in the game.
Â
HEATING UP
Junior quarterback
Jimmy Lahay posted his second consecutive 300-yard passing game against Wilkes two weeks ago. Lahay finished with 385 yards passing on 29-of-42 attempts and five touchdown passes. Lahay's five touchdown passes was the most in a game since former Lion QB Mike Knight threw five touchdown passes against Norwich in the 2015 NCAA Tournament First Round Game.
Â
PICKED
Sophomore safety
Armon Jefferson had a breakout game against Wilkes two weeks ago by tallying two interceptions. It was the first multi-interception game for any Lion this season and first since former Lion
Grant Boehler tallied two interceptions against Misericordia last season.
Jefferson has started at safety in every game for the Lions this season and now ranks second on the team in interceptions. He posted his first collegiate interception last season in the regular season finale versus Lebanon Valley.
Â
YARDS STREAK
Senior wide receiver
Kyle Dickerson registered his third-straight 100-yard receiving game against Wilkes two weeks ago. He tallied 104 yards on seven catches and two touchdowns after setting career-highs against FDU-Florham.
Dickerson currently ranks fourth in the conference with 528 receiving yards, and third with six touchdown receptions. He also ranks fourth with 88.0 receiving yards per game.
Â
ON THE BALL
The Lions currently have two players who are tied for the league lead in fumble recoveries. Senior defensive lineman
David Sanchez and freshman linebacker
Jason Smith each have tallied two fumble recoveries this season.
Sanchez also is tied for second in the conference with three forced fumbles on the season, and sits one behind league-leader Mando Sallavanti for King's.
Â
IN THE BACKFIELD
Senior defensive lineman
Zack Marini has been a force in opposing team's backfields this season as he ranks among the conference leaders in tackles for loss. Marini comes into Saturday with 6.5 tackles for loss that is currently good for sixth in the MAC.
The amount is already a career best for the senior, who has tallied at least over 1.0 TFL in all but one game this season.
100 CLUB
Junior wide receiver
Zack Miller put together a career day in receiving yards two weeks ago against Wilkes. Miller Hauled in a team-best 11 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Miller joined Dickerson to have two Lions over 100+ yards receiving for the second-straight game.
