The Albright Lions will travel to face defending league champion #15 Delaware Valley this Saturday afternoon. The Lions are coming off a tough 37-26 loss to King's last Saturday.

The Monarchs jumped out to an early 9-0 behind a blocked punt for a safety and touchdown. Each team would trade scores until the Monarchs scored back-to-back touchdowns to take a 37-19 lead in the fourth quarter. Albright scored a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter but were unable to continue the rally. Meanwhile, the Aggies flexed their muscles in a 52-7 road win at Lebanon Valley. The Aggies continue to lead the MAC with an unblemished 5-0 conference record while the Lions sit at 0-7 overall and 0-5 in conference play.

LAST SEASON'S MATCHUP
Albright suffered a 41-6 loss to Delaware Valley last season at home during homecoming weekend. The Aggies jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter and took a 20-0 lead into halftime following returning a blocked punt for a touchdown. Delaware Valley continued its dominance on the afternoon in the second half as they stretched its lead out to 34-0 before finishing off the game with a 41-6 final. Then sophomore quarterback Jimmy Lahay threw the first touchdown of his Albright career in the fourth quarter.

GREAT CATCH
Senior wide receiver Kyle Dickerson has hauled in a touchdown reception in three-straight games. Dickerson scored on a five-yard touchdown reception against King's on Saturday, and fell just short of his fourth-straight 100-yard receiving game with 98 yards on eight catches. He now leads the team with seven touchdown receptions with five of them coming in the three-game stretch. Dickerson's seven touchdowns ties him for third in the conference and 626 yards places him fourth in the conference.

RACK EM UP
Freshman Sam Viera registered a season-high 15 tackles against King's on Saturday afternoon. Viera's 15 tackles were the most by any Lions player this season and he also posted 1.0 TFL and 1.0 sack. Viera now is tied for the team lead with 2.0 sacks and ranks fourth on the team with 46 tackles.

Viera has also tallied 6.5 TFL on the season which is just one behind the team lead. His previous season-high was seven tackles in two different games this season

RECORD CHASING
Senior defensive lineman David Sanchez forced another fumble against King's last Saturday afternoon. The forced fumble was his fourth of the season which has him in a three-way tie for the MAC lead in that category and a seven-way tie for third in all of NCAA Division III. Sanchez has forced six fumbles in his career which is just one shy of the career program record that was tied last season by Isaiah Baylor.

YOUNG BACKS
A pair of freshman running backs scored touchdown for the Lions last Saturday against King's. Starting back Tony Thorpe scored his third touchdown in four games, while his classmate Malik Bootman scored on a 15-yard scamper for the first touchdown in his collegiate career.

Bootman had previously seen action on special teams this season prior to Saturday, while Thorpe leads the Lions with 234 yards on the ground this season and three touchdowns in 2018.

RANKED OPPONENTS
Albright will face a ranked opponent for the second time this season with Delaware Valley being listed in both national Division III polls. The Lions previously faced No.2 and defending national runner-up Mary Hardin-Baylor for the home opener in Early September.
It is the third-straight season they will be facing the Aggies when they were ranked nationally. The Lions dramatic win over Delaware Valley two years ago in Doylestown was the last time the Lions won against a nationally-ranked opponent as the Aggies were 13th at the time of the win.

BEHIND THE LINE
The Lions defense recorded a season-high four sacks as a unit last Saturday against King's. Five different Lions recorded sacks with two players sharing a 0.5 sack. Freshmn Jason Smith kept himself tied with Viera for the team-lead with one sack, while senior Zack Marini recorded his first sack of the season. Sanchez and junior defensive lineman Tyler Foster each shared half a sack for the Lions final of the day.
