The Albright Lions football team will conclude their 2018 season on the road against long-time rival Lebanon Valley on Saturday.

The Lions are coming off a tough 39-29 loss to Misericordia last Saturday, while the Dutchmen earned their first win of the season with a 55-7 thumping of Alvernia. The Lions are 0-9 overall and 0-7 in the MAC and the Dutchmen are 1-8 overall and 1-6 in the MAC. This will be the 98th meeting between these two schools as the series dates back to 1898.

LAST SEASON'S MATCHUP
Albright defeated Lebanon Valley 28-14 last season to earn a berth in the MAC-Centennial Bowl Series for the second-straight season. The Lions jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to three Dutchmen turnovers, and never looked back from there. Albright eventually put the game away with a 37-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter after Lebanon Valley made it a one score game. The Lions forced six Dutchmen turnovers on the afternoon, including a 98-yard fumble return for a touchdown by former Lion Kyven Jones.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
The 2018 Albright football seniors class of: Rociado Jennings, Kyle Dickerson, David Sanchez, Zack Marini, Marc-Antony Ocasio, Kyle Ryan, and Kevin Goetz will play their final game for the Lions this Saturday.

This senior class has currently compiled a 26-17 overall record and was a part of the 2015 MAC Championship team as freshman. The class has also played in the NCAA Tournament in 2015 and back-to-back MAC-Centennial Bowl Series games.

BEAT THE STREAK
Senior wide receiver Kyle Dickerson continued is touchdown streak going as he grabbed two touchdown passes against Misericordia last Saturday. Dickerson has scored in five-straight games for the Lions as he set a new-career high with 11 touchdown receptions.

He also tallied his fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season on Saturday as well. He sits 124 yards shy of 1,000 yards on the season and now ranks second in the conference for receiving touchdowns.

GETTING NOTICED
Freshman Malik Bootman led the Lions with a team-high 63 yards rushing on 14 carries on Saturday against Delaware Valley. Albright. The 63 yards rushing was the most by any Albright player this season. Bootman was coming off scoring his first collegiate touchdown against King's two weeks ago and has moved into second on the team in total rushing yards.

LAST NUMBERS
Besides his career season in 2018, Dickerson has already stamped his name within the Lions record books in his four-year career at Albright. He ranks in the top 10 in total yards with 3,747 before his final game this weekend at Lebanon Valley, and has scored 25 touchdowns between receiving, rushing, and in punt/kick returns.

GLIMPSE INTO FUTURE
Freshman running back Malik Bootman had the best statistical rushing game by any Lions player since the 2014 season on Saturday as he ran for a game-high 148 yards on 22 carries. His 148 yards were the most in a game since former Lion Chris Dawson ran for 175 yards in 2014 against Misericordia, and he became the first 100-yard rusher in a game for the Lions since September 2016. Bootman's big day was highlighted by a 68-yard burst in the first quarter which was the longest run by any Lion since Scott Pillar broke the school record with a 94-yard run in 2012.

IN THE RANKS
Junior quarterback Jimmy Lahay threw four touchdown passes on Saturday against Misericordia. It was his third 4+ touchdown game of the season for Lahay in his first full year as the starting quarterback. Lahay has thrown for 18 touchdown passes this season and has the chance to become the first Lions QB since Alec Vignola in 2016 to throw for 20+ touchdown passes. With three touchdown passes on Saturday, Lahay could hold the most touchdown passes mark in the decade.

LEAVING HIS MARK
Senior defensive lineman David Sanchez will also leave his name high up in the Lions record books in a few categories as well. Sanchez is now tied for third all-time with six forced fumbles which is one behind the program record.

He also currently has 29 tackles for loss which leaves him in the top 10 for that category, and has 12 sacks. Sanchez also matched his single game career-high for tackles on Saturday with 12 against Misericordia.

FOR KICKS

Senior kicker/punter Kevin Goetz will conclude his Lions career on Saturday after an outstanding career at Albright that saw him become All-MAC first team kicker twice. He currently has made 19 career field goals which still puts him in the program top-10 despite not making a single field goal this season to date, and has 146 career points.

He has made 89 career extra points. He currently ranks fifth all-time with 135 career punts and with 5,199 punting yards, and with one more good game of punting on Saturday can rank himself first all-time in punting average for the Albright program.
