READING, Pa. – The Albright Lions women's lacrosse team will host Widener in the first round of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Tournament today, April 29th, at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets: The MAC mandates the prices for adults at $5, senior citizens at $4, children $2, and children under 6 will be free. Albright students with a valid ID will be free as well courtesy of the Student Affairs Division. All tickets can be purchased at the gate.

MAC Commonwealth Tournament: Albright is the No. 4 seed in the tournament and faces the No. 5 seed Widener. No. 1 seed Stevenson will host the winner of this game on Wednesday at 4 p.m. The winners of the semifinal matchups on Wednesday will play in the championship game on Saturday at the highest remaining seed.
Records: Albright enters the tournament with a 12-5 overall record with a 6-2 mark in conference play. The Lions closed out their regular season by defeating Hood to snap a three-game losing streak. Widener ended the regular season at 7-9 overall behind a 4-4 record in league action. The Pride have won back-to-back games, and three of their last five overall.
Scouting the Lions: Albright is third in the MAC Commonwealth in goals forced, and fourth in goals per game at 13.12. The Lions also lead the conference with 12.2 caused turnovers per game. Senior

Kelly Baumann are tied for the team lead with 48 goals, which ties them for third in the conference. Bass leads the team and is tied for third in the conference with 88 points, while Baumann sits in fifth in the conference with 84 points. Baumann ranks fifth in NCAA Division III with 3.71 caused turnovers per game. Freshman
Lauren China ranks third on the team with 43 goals, and is third in the conference for goals scored among freshman. Sophomore goalkeeper
Terae Mason ranks third in the conference with a 9.87 GAA and fourth with a .481 save percentage.
Lions in the Playoffs: Albright has made the MAC Commonwealth Tournament in five-straight years and have advanced to the MAC Commonwealth Tournament semifinals in each of the last three seasons. This is the first 4-5 game the Lions have played in since the 2016 season when they defeated Lycoming at home, 16-15.
Scouting the Pride: Widener is the highest-scoring team in the MAC Commonwealth with 247 goals forced to a 15.4 goals per game average. The Pride also leads the conference with 7.0 assists per game, and ranks second with a .463 shot percentage. The catalyst to the Pride's success comes from senior Kelly Lynch. Lynch, who became the Pride's all-time leading scorer on April 13
th against Stevenson, ranks second in the conference with 63 goals and a 3.94 goals per game average. She leads all of NCAA Division III with 61 total assists, and ranks second with 4.07 assists per game. Lynch leads the conference by a wide margin with 126 points to a tune of 7.88 points per game, which ranks her sixth in all of NCAA Division III for points. She is complimented by junior Melanie Bert, who ranks second on the team with 43 goals and 49 points.
The Pride in the Playoffs: Widener is making its first appearance in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament since the 2013 season when they lost 13-7 to Lebanon Valley in the first round. The Pride's previous four conference tournament appearances came in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2010.
Series: The Lions hold the series lead with a 6-2 record after defeating the Pride back in early April. Albright has won five-straight meetings over the Pride dating back to the 2015 season. This is the first ever postseason meeting between the two programs.
Last Meeting: Albright earned a hard-fought 14-11 victory over Widener on April 10
th in Chester. The Lions battled back from an early 2-0 deficit to take a 7-4 lead into halftime. Albright was able to maintain a lead for the entire duration of the second half despite multiple comeback attempts from the Pride. Freshman
Maddie Taylor led the Lions with a season-high six goals, while China followed with four goals. Mason made 12 saves in net during the full 60 minutes to earn the win.
Head Coaches: Jen Willis has posted a 75-62 record in eight seasons as the head coach of Albright since the program debuted in 2012. She has led the Lions to five double-digit win seasons, and this is the fifth-straight year that she has led the Lions to the MAC Commonwealth Tournament. The 12 wins this season are also a program record.
Kate Slade is in her third season as the head coach of Widener. She has compiled a 16-33 record during that span after spending time as an assistant coach at Franklin & Marshall, and her alma mater of Scranton. She has led the Pride this season to their first MAC Commonwealth Tournament berth since she became head coach.
