ABOUT ALBRIGHT

With another strong day on Saturday, Shockley will figure to eclipse the impressive career rushing mark of 1,500 yards. Shockley's season rushing total sits at 339 yards, good for top five in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC).
Darien Osmun and
Javontae Wayman have been flying around the field defensively for Albright all season long. Osmun and Wayman have both recorded over 31 tackles to lead Albright. The duo is the first for the Lions defense to reach the 30-tackle threshold. Osmun's 35 total tackles and Wayman's 31 total tackles are both good for top 15 in all of the MAC.
ABOUT EASTERN
Back in September of 2021, Eastern University announced the addition of football to their institution's athletics offering. The Eastern Eagles played a JV schedule in 2022 and officially got their program underway this season in 2023.
Eastern comes into Saturday's game having lost their last three games all to MAC opponents. In Eastern's second game as a football program, the Eagles took down Alvernia 30-23 for their first win in program history.
The Eastern offense is led by a combination of running back Jeremiah Avrilien and wide receiver Eddie Swinton. Avrilien leads the Eagles in rushing yards with 177 on the year and Swinton has hauled in nine catches for 227 yards. Swinton's mark of 25.3 yards per catch is good for 2
nd in the MAC this season.
Defensively, Eastern is led by the leading tackler in all of the MAC in Gashawn Moody. Moody has amassed 59 total tackles this season, which is 29 more tackles than Moody's next closest teammate. In the MAC overall, Moody has 14 more tackles then the next closest student-athlete.
Overall the Eastern defense features seven different players with at least 20 tackles. As a defensive unit, the Eagles have produced five total turnovers, three by interception and two by fumble recoveries.
