ANNVILLE, PA. - Nick Barton of the Albright baseball team was named an All-MAC Commonwealth honorable mention, as announced by the MAC Conference on Monday morning. Barton is the first Albright baseball student-athlete to be named to an all conference team since the 2019 season when Logan Pennypacker was also named an honorable mention.

Barton started 28 games this season behind the plate for the Lions. In those 28 games, Barton recorded eight multi hit games including an eight game hit streak that stretched 14 games throughout the season. Barton finished the year with an impressive batting average of .354. The .354 batting average was good for 16th in all of the MAC Commonwealth this season.
In addition to Barton's average, the Albright catcher recorded 16 RBIs, seven extra base hits and only struck out 15 times in 99 total at bats this season. Of the seven extra base hits, Barton belted his first career home run in the last game of the season to cap off his overall tremendous year for Albright.
Barton recorded new career highs in hits during a game (4), runs scored in a game (2) and RBIs in a game (3).
