ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has named Paola Mejias of the Albright women's volleyball team Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President for the MAC Conference for the 2023-24 academic year.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) represents the MAC student-athlete voice in the MAC governance structure by reviewing legislation; identifying significant student-athlete issues; implementing conference student-athlete based initiatives; and encouraging community outreach. The committee meets in-person two times each year in September and February, and holds two annual conference calls in October and April. The first proceeding of the year will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Mejias is a junior from Carolina, Puerto Rico and has been a member of the Albright women's volleyball team for three seasons. Mejias has totaled 883 assists, 98 kills, 66 service aces and has played in 127 total sets for the Lions.

Last January, Mejias represented Albright and the MAC conference at the NCAA Convention held in San Antonio, Texas. There, Mejias had the opportunity to network with the over 3,000 attendees, attend meetings, and make their voices heard on the national level while representing Division III and the MAC.
