IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Albright men's soccer team (5-1-1) was on the road for the fourth straight game on Thursday night against the Immaculata Mighty Macs (0-3-4). The game finished in a 0-0 draw. Chris Denholm made seven saves keeping the clean sheet in tact for the Lions.
Today's game was the first meeting between the two schools since the 2019 season.
After the opening 45 minutes of play neither team found the back of the net going into halftime knotted at 0-0.
Chris Denholm faced four shots in the first half and saved all four keeping Albright in the game. Noah Raimonde tallied two shots looking get the Lions on the board first.
In the 73rd minute Albright looked to take the 1-0 lead after eanring a penalty kick. The penalty kick attempt was denied by the Mighty Mac goalkeeper making the save keeping the game scoreless.
Over the last 10 minutes of the game, the Lions had opportuniuites to score the games first goal, but were unable to convert.
90 minutes came and went and the game finished in a 0-0 draw.
Denholm was fantastic in goal for the Lions making X saves on the night. Denholm kept the clean sheet through the 90 minutes marking his first of the season.
Vincent Simmons an Martin Ramsay combined for five shots total and three of them on goal to pace the Lion attack. In total Albright recorded 12 shots in tonight's game.
