READING, Pa. – The Albright men's lacrosse team (5-11, 0-6 MAC Commonwealth) hosted Stevenson (10-6, 5-1 MAC Commonwealth) tonight under the lights at Shirk Stadium. The Lions dropped their second to last MAC commonwealth game of the regular season to the Mustangs, 34-1.
Albright hosted Stevenson in their second to last MAC Commonwealth game of the regular season. The Lions will host Alvernia next weekend at home starting at 2:00 p.m. The game will serve as Albright's senior day and alumni day.
Nick Antonio found himself in the box score, scoring the goal this evening for Albright. Antonio has made great strides this season and now is up to 25 goals this season. Additionally, Antonio has amassed 43 points placing him 4
th on the team in points.
Jon Alvarez totaled four ground balls and three caused turnovers in tonight's game. Alvarez has been a mainstay on the defense for the Lions playing in all 15 games while also rarely leaving the field. The senior defenseman is up to 18 caused turnovers and 52 total ground balls collected this season.
Recording at least one causes turnover tonight in addition to Alvarez was
Hunter Fitterling.
Jack Burke,
Liam Ferry,
Peter Alessi and
Liam Orr. Fitterling finished with three ground balls while Burke finished with two.
James Elko,
Ryan Houghtaling and Antonio all led the offense with three total shots. And were followed closely by
Justin Moroney, Ferry and Burke who each had two shots.
