MEDIA, Pa. – The Albright women's tennis team (16-2, 6-0 MAC Commonwealth) played in one final tune-up before next week's MAC Commonwealth first round today against Penn State Brandywine (0-12). The Lions have won eight straight matches and seven in a row without dropping a single point.

Albright concluded one of the best regular seasons in program history today winning their 16
th match of the combined spring and fall seasons. The Lions are looking to make more history in next weeks MAC Commonwealth Championships.
Albright will either host York or Alvernia in the semifinals on Tuesday, April 30. The Lions beat both teams this season. Albright beat York 6-3 and swept Alvernia 9-0 just over two weeks ago. Next Tuesday's match will mark the first time the Lions have ever hosted the MAC Commonwealth women's tennis semifinals.
The Lions have not lost a match in over two months and are hoping to extend that streak into May and beyond.
In today's match, the Lions were the clear better side. In the four singles matches played, Albright only dropped six total sets.
Alex Pancu wrapped up another perfect regular season winning today 6-2, 6-3.
Elicia Aponte won easily 6-0, 6-0.
Megan Colaneri won 6-1, 6-0 in #3 singles while
Macie Littleton won 6-0, 6-0 in #4 singles.
Michelle Timothy and
Alaina Smith won their #1 doubles match 8-4 and were followed by a 8-1 win by
Valeria Sanchez and
Isabella Tice in #2 doubles play.

Albright is set to host either York or Alvernia in the MAC Commonwealth semi-finals right here on the campus of Albright College. The match does not have a start time at the moment but will be played in the afternoon from Reading, Pa.
