READING, Pa. – Three members of the Albright College baseball team were recognized by being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. The three Lions to be recognized were
Nick Barton,
Zander Tesoriere and
Lucas Williams.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District ® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize top student-athletes for the performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District® winners are eligible for consideration for Academic All-America® Teams.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must be a sophomore and have at least a 3.50 GPA and have played in at least 90% of their team's games played or start 66% of their games.
The trio of Lions were instrumental in helping the team to one of their best seasons in recent history. The Lions won back to back MAC Commonwealth series for the first time in many years while reaching 13 wins total for the first time since the 2014 season.
Nick Barton started 36 games this season for the Lions playing catcher and first base. Barton collected 34 total hits including a home run and 23 RBIs.
Zander Tesoriere started 26 games this season in the outfield for Albright. The rising junior outfielder hit his first career home run in 2024 while sporting a .356 on base percentage.
Lucas Williams is the ace of the Lions staff throwing 41.2 innings for the team this year. Williams struck out 34 batters while only giving up nine extra base hits all season.
