ABOUT ALBRIGHT

The Lions are coming off their first conference road win of the season in the form of a 38-14 victory over Alvernia. The meeting will be just the third time the Lions and Eagles have faced each other.

The Lions offense has developed into a well-oiled machine and continues to lead the MAC in passing yards by a considerable margin while running the second most plays in the conference through the first five games. Chase Roberts leads all MAC quarterbacks in passing touchdowns (11), yards (1329) and completion percentage (65.1) in what has been a stellar start to his second season with Albright. John Boston sits just outside the top five in rushing yards while playing one less game than all other players ranked in the top 10. Alden Stickler is coming off a two touchdown performance against the Golden Wolves and has already matched his touchdown total from last season (4).

Through five weeks, Albright's defense has allowed the fewest yards (1352) out of all MAC teams and ranks top five in points allowed (21.4). Against Alvernia the team recorded four sacks from four different players and held the Golden Wolves to only nine rushing yards on 22 attempts. Samuel Moratori continues to be one of the most versatile defensive weapons for the Lions and has recorded 32 tackles along with a sack and interception in five games. Moratori was named MAC Defensive Player of the week for his performance against Alvernia.

ABOUT EASTERN

The Eagles have emerged as one of the top teams in the MAC this year and currently sit behind only Misericordia in the standings. The Eagles enter this week as winners of two straight with their only loss coming at the hands of Lebanon Valley.

The Eastern offense currently leads the MAC in points per game (33.8) and last week became the first team to surpass 2000 scrimmage yards (2010) in 2025. Jeremiah Avrilien serves as the focal point of the conference's top rushing attack with a MAC best 612 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. Quarterback Brett Nabb ranks fourth in the conference with 558 yards of his own to go along with four scores.

Senior defensive lineman Salif Nikiema sets the tone for Eastern's defensive unit with a team best three sacks and six tackles for a loss. Defensive backs Cole Jones and Dru Beckford have each recorded an interception as part of a Eagles defense that has allowed the fourth fewest passing yards in the conference.
