GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Men's tennis (3-1) went on the road on Saturday afternoon squaring off against Gettysburg (1-1) in the second to last match of the fall season for the Lions. The Lions of Albright took today's match by a final score of 4-3.
Albright began the week with a 7-0 sweep over Arcadia. Two of the three wins this season over Penn State Berks and Arcadia were both sweeps on their home courts.
Karim Fattal and
Enrico Pucci paired up in #1 doubles and won the match 6-4. Gettysburg would take the remaining two doubles matches earning the team point.
The Lions won four of six singles matches. Three of the four single match wins went to the third and final sets.
Matias Contreras won handily in #1 singles to move to 4-0 to start his Albright career. Contreras won 6-2, 6-2 in a strong showing.
Pucci got the nod in #3 singles and turned in a three sets victory. Pucci took the first and third sets en route to the win.
Marcelo Menchaca went back and fourth with his opponent in #4 singles as the pairing split the first two sets. In the third, Menchaca would not be denied as he took the third set 6-0.
Adam Good was steady throughout his match in #5 singles. Good won a marathon first set 7-6 (11-9) and dropped a narrow second set 5-7. The third set played similarly to the first as Good won the third 7-6 to give the Lions the team victory.

Albright and Susquehanna will square off on Wednesday October 8 at 3:30 p.m. on the Albright Tennis Courts. The match was rescheduled from September 6.
