MOHNTON, Pa. – Men's golf took to the course for the third straight day with the "B" team competing in the single day Alvernia Invitational. The Lions recorded a team score of 313 after 18 holes at LedgeRock Golf Club.

RESULTS

Yesterday, the team wrapped up the two-day Golden Oaks Shootout claiming victory for the fourth overall time this season. Between the "A" team and "B" team Albright has won four of the seven tournaments they have appeared in.

Today's field featured 12 total teams including three division II institutions. Albright's "B" team trailed only Alvernia's "A" team finishing behind the Golden Wolves by three strokes.

August Fredrik Alhanko led the team with his fourth consecutive round in the 70's. A round of 76 was good for a T4 finish out of 63 golfers. A two under par back nine with no bogeys powered the Lions up the leaderboard as well as Alhanko.

Filip Hjerten matched Alhanko with a 76, giving two Lions inside the top 10. Hjerten was strong through the middle of the course playing holes 7-14 at one under par. The stretch included two birdies.

Ashton McKechan finished T16 with a round of 79. Bookend birdies on holes one and 18 mixed in with a birdie on hole eight paved the way for McKechan to a strong outing.

Jason DiRita recorded a round of 82. The score was better than multiple Division II players as well as the entire susquehanna team. Sam Elsen concluded the Lions in action today shooting an 84. Elsen found success on the four par three's on the course playing them at even par.

The Lions "B" team will head to Battle at Berkleigh in Fleetwood, Pa. The tournament will be held on Friday (Oct. 10) and Saturday (Oct 11) this weekend.
