READING, Pa. – The Albright baseball team was ready to begin their season this weekend competing in the two-day Wilkes Tournament. Due to the upcoming cold temperatures in Wilkes-Barre, the two games this weekend against SUNY Coblesskill and King's College (Pa.) at Wilkes have been canceled. Additionally, Albright canceled their home opener on February 28 vs Gettysburg.
Albright baseball will have to wait to begin the 2025 season after their first three games on the team's schedule have been canceled.
The Lions were scheduled to play SUNY Coblesskill on Saturday, Feb. 22 and King's College (Pa.) on Sunday, February 23. Both of the games have now been canceled.
Albright's home opener set for Friday, February 28 has been canceled due to unplayable field conditions.
Barring any unforeseen changes, the Lions will take the field for the first time this season against Gettysburg on March 1 in Emmitsburg, Md. on the campus of Mount Saint Mary's.
