READING, Pa. – Albright Baseball (9-11, 0-7 MAC Commonwealth) remained at home to face Eastern (8-14, 2-5 MAC Commonwealth). Following nine innings of play, the visiting Eagles took the first game of the series on the road.
The Lions jumped on the board first and took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single from
Chris Gorla to score
Michael Avino.
After the Eagles took a 3-1 lead,
Nick Barton answered back with his first homer of the season to bring the Lions back to within one.
Plyler Hunter made an incredible diving catch in right-field to record an out on a flyball that would've been guaranteed extra bases for the Eagles otherwise.
J.D. Graziano pitched 5.1 innings out of the bullpen and allowed only one run as the sophomore looked to keep the Lions in the game until their final at-bat.
After threatening in later innings, the Eagles would hold on to beat the Lions at home by a score of 6-2.

The Lions will stay at Kelcher field for a double-header with the Eagles tomorrow to wrap up their season series. Eastern will serve as the home team for both games with game one starting at 12:00 pm.
