READING, Pa. – Men's lacrosse (1-16, 0-7) concluded their 2025 season on Saturday afternoon making the short trip across town to Alvernia (7-9, 1-6 MAC Commonwealth) facing off against the Golden Wolves. Alvernia won today 12-7 over Albright.
Jack Burke tallied two points this afternoon to end his Albright career with 218 career points. Burke is on the best players in school history and will leave Albright staking claim to the third most points in school history. The senior Lion recorded 146 goals, 72 assists to finish with 218 points during his outstanding career.
Burkes' goal, assist and point total are all good for third all-time in program history.
Sean McNicholas made 12 saves this afternoon in goal for Albright. McNicholas set the single season saves record last time out against Stevenson. The netminder improved on his record-breaking season this afternoon ending 2025 with 222 saves. In just two seasons with the Lions, McNicholas made 424 saves.
Hunter Fitterling caused six more turnovers today to set a new career high for caused turnovers in a game. Fitterling will finish the 2025 season as the conference leader in caused turnovers having caused at least one turnover in 16 of 17 games this season. Fitterling also led the conference in caused turnovers in the 2023 season.
The senior defenders caused turnover rose to 118 for his career after today, finishing tied for first in program history for caused turnovers in a career.
James Elko scored twice this afternoon while
Justin Moroney,
Ryan Houghtaling and
Nick Antonio each scored once.
Elko added two assists for a team high four points. Antonio will enter his senior season needing just three points to become the newest member of the Albright 100 career point club.
Liam Ferry caused a pair of turnovers this afternoon while registering two ground balls.
Liam Orr was active all day long defensively ending with a career high four ground balls.
