NEWTOWN, Pa. – Phanique Dupree of the men's basketball team has been named Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Player of the Week. Dupree and the Lions have won their past 10 games consecutively and have clinched a spot in the 2026 MAC Commonwealth playoffs with a week to go in the regular season.
Albright began this past week with a road win against Widener to officially punch their ticket to the playoffs. The week ended with a road victory over #15 Hood marking the team's second victory over a ranked opponent this season.
Dupree averaged 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals while shooting 70.9 percent from the floor. He recorded 22 points against Widener before posting a 25-point, 12-rebound double-double versus Hood. The double-double was the sixth of the season for the senior forward.
Already being the program's career block leader Dupree reached another milestone recording his 200
th career block. No player that has ever worn an Albright jersey had achieved 200 or more career blocks until Dupree.
The Player of the week honor is second of Dupree's career. Albright will host Stevenson tomorrow February 18 at 7 p.m. in the penultimate regular season game.
