Hoping to end their recent skid, the Lady Lions looked to pick up a big win to get their season back on track with only four games left in 2009. Through the first 10 minutes of the play, the two teams remained close on the scoreboard evening the score on two separate occasions. However, the Red Devils managed to take control of the game with the help of a quick 7-0 run which put them up 14-7 with 9:26 left to play in the half.
Dickinson would maintain their solid lead throughout the final minutes of the half and entered the locker room with a 26-18 lead.
After the halftime break, the Lions offense came alive on the back of Knoebel who helped to close a 16 point gap down to three with 10 minutes left to play. Albright continued to keep the game close and even got the score down to just a two point deficit with less than eight minutes to play on back-to-back free throws by McGinness.
Unfortunately, the Lady Lions late surge did not last as the Red Devils offense heated up yet again this time at the free throw line to walk away with the 67-53 decision.
