TOWSON, Md. - For the third consecutive game, junior forward #Gia Boscola# scored the Lions lone goal. This time however it was not enough as Goucher College (3-1) defeated Albright (2-3) by the score of 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Beldon Field.

Boscola's goal which initially evened the score at 1-1 in the first half was assisted by senior captain #Kelly Zepp#. Zepp spent her entire junior year on the sidelines due to an injury, and made her return to the field on Saturday.

On the year Boscola has four goals and two assists which leads the Lions offense, and ranks her second in the Commonwealth Conference in goals scored and overall points.

For the Gophers Allison Metzger netted a pair of goals, while Katie Kramer scored the game winner in the 25th minute of the contest. Tallying assists in the game were Gia Thomas and Katie Gallagher.

In the cage sophomore goalie #Kaitlyn Johnstone# totaled five saves, while her Gopher counterpart Micki Manheimer tallied one save. Goucher led the afternoon in penalty corners with 12, while Albright recorded seven.

Field Hockey returns to action on Thursday when they travel to Cabrini College for a 4 p.m. non-conference game.
