WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - With less than five minutes left to play in the second half the Lady Lions (6-12/2-6 CC) following a 17-0 run jumped out to a five-point lead over Lycoming College (6-13/3-5 CC). Albright would then tie the score at 62-62 with a minute to play, but it was Lycoming's Alicia Engler at the free throw line that proved to be the deciding factor for the Warriors as they walked away with a 64-62 conference win Saturday afternoon at Lamade Gymnasium.

Albright who initially trailed the host Warriors by 12 with 8:43 left to play managed to roar their way back in the second half on the back of junior Jessica McGinness. The starting guard who was sidelined in Wednesday's contest against DeSales returned to the hardwood on Saturday and totaled a game-high 22 points for the red and white.  Saturday's performance also marked the fourth consecutive game that McGinness has recorded 20 or more points.

From the field McGinness was 8-for-17 and behind the arc she was 2-for-7. At the charity strip the junior was 4-for-5, and was also responsible for four rebounds and four steals. Joining her teammate in double-figures was Rory Yerkes with a 14 point showing.

Yerkes along with Gina Zantopoulos, Becca Pollack, and MariLynn McMonagle also played a major part in the Lady Lions 17 point resurgence in the second half. The trio combined for 14 points on the day, and it was Pollack and Mallory Olsheski that led the contest on the boards totaling seven rebounds each.

Lycoming had four players finish in double-figures Saturday afternoon, with Rebecca Spencer leading the way with 19. Engler was second in line with 16 points, followed by Jessica Zerbee and Allison Mock who recorded 10 points each.

Not only did Zerbee help her team to the conference win, but she also moved up in the Lycoming record books now sitting third all-time in steals and assists.

The Warriors led the contest in all offensive categories as they shot over 44% from the field, 40% from three-point range, and 87% from the line. Albright shot 38% from the floor, 31% from the behind the arc, and 64% from the charity strip.

Truly the biggest turn around for the Lions in Saturday's contest was their ability to possess the ball. Overall the red and white allowed just 16 turnovers as compared to the 32 they totaled in Wednesday's non-conference loss to DeSales.

Women's Basketball returns to action on Wednesday when they host Widener University at 6 p.m. in the Bollman Center.
