Game 2 Box Score (halted in middley of the fifth inning)
LANCASTER, Pa. – Following a 13-5 game one loss to the Diplomats of Franklin and Marshall College, the Lady Lions came alive in the nightcap, and trailed F&M by three runs going into the bottom of the fifth. However, with light slowing dwindling away the two teams decided to put a halt to game two, and will now wait to see if the remainder of the contest will be played. 
So with the game one loss the red and white's record fell to 6-15 on the year, while Franklin and Marshall's record improved to 7-8. A date to continue the rest of game two has not been determined. 
In the opener, it was Albright who actually put up the first two runs of the afternoon on the scoreboard. Driving in the first Lions run of the day was 
Kiersten Gilfoy on a single to center field. 
Freshman 
Nikki Schwenk also made got on base in the opening inning after fielder's choice bunt. She then worked her way around the base paths and eventually scored on an error by the first baseman to give Albright an early 2-0 lead. 
Unfortunately that lead did not last, as the Diplomats raced out to a 3-2 lead in the bottom half of the opening frame, then jumped out to a 6-2 lead after two complete innings. 
Neither team would score in the third, but that did not slow down the Diplomats at all as they tacked on three more runs to extend their lead to 9-2. Down but not out, the Lady Lions tried to claw their way back into the contest in the top of the fifth scoring three runs of their own. 
Driving in two of those three runs was Schwenk on a 2 RBI double to left field. Gilfoy would drive in the final run of the afternoon for Albright after getting on base on an error by the right fielder. 
Even with the late resurgence by the Lady Lions, F&M posted four more runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the game one victory. 
Allie Frank was handed the loss after going just 1 1/3 innings in which she allowed six runs on five hits. Sophomore 
Alex Tragno closed out the opener for Albright and struck out three batters. 
The 
Moving into the nightcap, the two teams combined for 10 runs through the first three innings respectively. After a two run top of the first by Albright, the Diplomats responded with a three run bottom of the first. 
The Lions quickly answered back in the second with two more runs to take a 4-3 lead. Not to be outdone, the Diplomats put two runs of their own to jump out a 5-4 lead. They then made it a 6-4 ball game after scoring one more run in the bottom of the third. 
Schwenk was once again responsible for getting the Lady Lions on the scoreboard in the opening inning tallying 2 RBI. She later tallied a double in third and an RBI triple in the fifth which made it 9-5 in favor of the Diplomats. 
Albright would add one more run before the Diplomats retired the side, and the game was halted by the umpires. Before the game was halted, junior pitcher 
Dana Parolari allowed the nine runs on nine hits, and struck out four batters. 
If the two teams decide not to finish out this game tomorrow afternoon, then the Lady Lions will next travel to Elizabethtown College on Saturday and will face the Blue Jays at 1 p.m.
