READING, Pa. – On a cold and rainy evening, the Cavaliers of Cabrini College (2-3) used two second half goals to push themselves ahead of and past the Lions of Albright College (3-3).

A scoreless first half saw the Lions and Cavaliers locked up at zero, despite several chances for both sides. #Marguerite DeLucas# stopped 6 first half shots for the Lions, while her counterpart Caitlin Donohue was only tested once.

In the second half, however, the Cavaliers needed a spark to get on the board. That spark was provided by Maura Gordon who drilled a ball past DeLucas to put Cabrini ahead.

Six minutes later, Gordon tacked on her third goal of the season, by driving another shot past DeLucas off a corner, putting the Cavaliers up 2-0.

Albright wasted only 35 seconds before answering back with a goal of their own. #Gia Boscola# tipped in a pass from #Caitlin Feldman# while crossing in front of Donohue to put the red and white on the board. However, on this night, that would be the only time the Lions found the back of the cage and the two goals by Gordon would prove to be enough to hold on.

Boscola's goal was her sixth of the season and came on one of the five shots for the senior. Also tallying five shots for the Lions was sophomore #Kaitlyn Pietrusewicz#.

DeLucas was handed the loss despite totaling seven saves, and Donohue earned the win, making five saves on the evening.

Albright returns to action Sunday at Shirk Stadium for a 1 PM start time against Goucher College.
