For Williamson, the 5'11” forward was 5-for-11 from the field and 1-for-2 at the line. Of her 13 rebounds, eight were earned on the defensive side of the ball. Also recording double-figures on the glass was
Meghan Boyle, who finished the night with 11 boards.
MariLynn McMonagle and
Jessica McGinness combined for 25 points on the night respectively, with McGinness also adding four assists and two steals. Off the bench
Jenny Knoebel nailed a pair of three's and was 2-for-2 at the line to end the night with eight points.
Arcadia's top performer was Christine Taylor who scored a game-high 19 points. Jackie Law finished second on the team with 14, followed by Krista Hsu who had 10. Christie Kershaw led the Knights in rebounding with 11, and also had six points on 3-of-14 shooting.
The major key to Wednesday's win for the Lady Lions was their inside game. In the paint Albright totaled 32 of their 68 points, while also adding 14 points off turnovers and 19 on second chance opportunities.
On the night Albright shot a combined 40% on 24-of-60 shooting, which included three 3-pointers. At the line, the Lady Lions shot 63% as they went 17-for-27.
The first half got off to a very slow start for Albright, as Arcadia fresh off their first conference win in program history on Saturday, came out firing looking to earn their second straight victory. Through the first 20 minutes of play, the red and white's largest lead topped off at seven, with just over a minute to play.
However, with a five point lead in their favor after the halftime break, Albright began to find a rhythm and quickly used that to gain some distance on the scoreboard. Unfortunately, the Knights did not give up so easily, as they quickly took a nine point deficit with 10:06 left to play and cut it to just one less than two minutes later.
After a quick exchange of the lead, Albright regained their composure and used a 13-4 run to take a 64-54 lead. Arcadia would score just two more baskets in the final 1:30, while sophomore guard
Kari Ludy scored three of Albright's final four points.
Women's Basketball returns to action on Saturday when they travel to #14/#17 Lebanon Valley College for a 1 p.m. conference game.
