The Albright men's basketball team has now won four consecutive Commonwealth Conference games but can't lose momentum, as two more victories will be necessary to give the Lions a chance to qualify for next week's league playoffs.

Commonwealth Conference Playoff Picture

Albright has battled all the way back to .500 after a 2-6 start, but still trails Lycoming and Alvernia by one game in the race for the final two playoff spots (Messiah and Widener have clinched spots). Those two teams will play each other on Saturday; Alvernia hosts league-leaders Messiah tonight while Lycoming travels to Elizabethtown.

Previous Meeting

In Albright's most exciting game of the season, Pedro Perez drained a three with 10.2 seconds remaining in double-overtime as the Lions rallied from a 13-point second half deficit to defeat Arcadia, 85-84 on January 25.

Perez' winner from downtown canceled out Aaron Lee-Webb's tough step-back that had put Arcadia up 84-82 in the final minute of the second extra period.

Khalief Trawick made several big shots down the stretch for Arcadia and finished with 20 points (on 7-of-11 shooting), along with 11 rebounds.

All of Perez' 12 points came from behind the arc. Senior Derek Hall had a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds; also in double-figures were Dave Singleton (18 points) and Shane Irwin (11 points).

Albright College Lions (15-8, 6-6 Commonwealth)

Hall continues to lead the Commonwealth in rebounding (10.0 rpg) while ranking fifth in scoring (15.4 ppg) and sixth in field goal percentage (53.0).

Perez and transfer guard Dave Singleton (10.4 ppg) have been in the starting lineup throughout Albright's recent win streak. They are joined by point guard Sam Marrella and forward Kyle Jordan.

Arcadia University Knights (9-14, 2-10 Commonwealth)

Trawick leads the Knights in scoring (11.6 ppg) and ranks eighth in the conference in steals (37). Reserve Rashon Brock doesn't meet the minimums required to lead the league but is shooting an absurd 74.1% (43-of-58) from the field this season.

Senior Day

Albright's final game of the regular season will be Saturday, at home to Widener. The Lions will celebrate Senior Day, recognizing senior captains Hall and Mark Christian.
