The Albright College women's basketball team couldn't get any momentum going in the second half at Stevenson, falling 74-59 on Monday in a Commonwealth Conference matchup.
Sophomore
Tara Sabotchick continued her hot streak, totaling a game-high 16 points. Freshman
Emily O'Donnell had a team-high seven rebounds, and
Jessica Venturelli had three assists.
Albright made 15 turnovers to Stevenson's 11 as the teams struggled to get going in the first half. The Lions trailed 30-23 at the break after a
Kristi McFadden lay-up with six seconds remaining, although she missed the and-one opportunity.
McFadden's basket broke an Albright stretch of 8:19 with just one made field goal. That basket was a lefty drive and running bank shot from O'Donnell to tie the game at 20-all.
Kayleigh Guzek answered with three straight points, including a put-back from the guard in traffic. Stevenson pushed the run to 7-0 before
Kadijah Bishop broke it with a free throw.

Amanda Tiritilli's missed three-pointer had made it 11-10 Stevenson early. Sabotchick's drive kept the Lions close at 18-16, O'Donnell made one free throw after a nice entry pass from
Meghan Boyle, and Boyle also hit one freebie to tie things up at 18-18.
McFadden converted a tough drive with 14:25 left to make it 42-36 Stevenson as offenses picked up early in the second half.
Kyarra Harmon answered from behind the arc with a hand in her face, and then
Kayla Kelly had a steal and lay-in to push the gap to 47-36.
Sophomore
Samantha Martin fed
Kelecia Harris with a nice pass to keep the deficit in single-digits, 53-45. Again the Mustangs had an answer, with a
Stephanie Martinez three and a free throw from Guzek off a turnover.
Sabotchick's three-pointer made it 63-51 Stevenson, and Venturelli later forced in a basket to maintain that gap, at 65-53.
Sam Murray answered immediately with a three-pointer for the Mustangs however.
Murray had 16 points for Stevenson, while Guzek had 10 points and four assists. Harmon (11 points) was also in double-figures.
Albright is 6-7, 2-4 and faces another Commonwealth newcomer from Maryland on Wednesday, hosting Hood College at 6 p.m.
