The Albright College women's basketball team travels to Moravian on Saturday, in what should be a battle of two of the region's best post players.

Previous Meeting

The Lions fell just short in an upset bid over then-undefeated Moravian last year in the Bollman Center.

Albright jumped out to an early 13-4 lead, and almost erased a 14-point second half deficit. The Lions cut it to four and had a three-point attempt go long in the final minutes that could have made it a one-point game.

Meghan Boyle made nine of 11 field goal attempts and finished with a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds). Jessica Venturelli had 10 points, including several big shots late, and Kelecia Harris totaled 13 rebounds, three blocks and two steals.

Albright College Lions (2-0)

The Lions are 2-0 after winning Centenary's Lady Cyclone Tip-Off Tournament. Sophomore Kelecia Harris, the 2012-13 Regional Rookie of the Year, was named tournament MVP and the Commonwealth Conference Rookie of the Year.

Harris averaged 18.5 points and 12.0 rebounds over just 22 minutes per game. She shot 64.3% from the field, including an 8-for-11 performance against St. Elizabeth.

Harris finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds in that St. Elizabeth contest. She followed with 20 points and 11 boards in the championship game against host Centenary.

Fellow sophomore center Emily O'Donnell was also named to the All-Tournament team. O'Donnell had a double-double in the championship game (16 points, 10 rebounds), and made 6-of-7 field goal attempts in the opening game against St. Elizabeth.

Moravian College Greyhounds (2-1)

Junior Alexis Wright, a local product from Shillington, Pa. and Governor Mifflin High School, was a DIII News Preseason All-American this fall after honorable mention WBCA Coaches All-American honors last season as a sophomore.

Wright poured in 31 points on 11-of-21 shooting last game, as the Greyhounds defeated TCNJ 86-81. She had a double-double with 10 rebounds and also blocked six shots.

Moravian (2-1 on the season) was ranked in the top-25 late last season and ultimately finished 22-7. The Greyhounds advanced to the ECAC South championship game but were beaten 67-62 by Swarthmore in the final.

Head Coaches

Janice Luck is in her 12th season as head coach of her alma mater, and also serves as the co-Director of Athletics at Albright. Mary Beth Spirk enters her 27th season at Moravian as one of the top-25 active Division III coaches for victories (489 wins heading into this contest).
